Who are we?

The Mac Technology Association was founded in 2003, and was originally called the UK Mac-Dealer Association. We are the UK's only official trade body representing and supporting the national network of independent resellers, support companies and consultants who specialise in Apple Computers, MacOS applications and related services. Members of the Mac Technology Association are able to offer a better, more complete service to their clients and customers through co-operation and communication with each other and by sharing information, resources and expertise via the Association.

Are we connected with Apple in any way?

Not directly, no. Although the Association is working closely with Apple UK in many areas, and we are in constant communication with them, Apple UK have no direct involvement with the Association. But many of our Association Members are Apple Accredited resellers or specialists in their own right.

How do I contact the Mac Technology Association?

The Mac Technology Association welcomes enquiries and feedback from resellers and Apple users - please call, email or write to us. Full details for contacting us are available by clicking 'Contact Us' at the top of every page of this website.

Officers of the Association

The Association is run by a team of very experienced individuals with many years service in supplying and supporting Apple computer systems.

Robert Peckham
, Executive Director

Robert Peckham was the founding Director of the original UK Mac-Dealer Association, and continues as Executive Director of the Mac Technology Association.

Originally an architectural photographer, he has worked in Apple sales & support since 1988, with management roles in a wide range of famous Apple resellers including MacZone, Mygate, AppleCentre City & Workstation.

When he's not running the Association, he's a freelance Mac Systems consultant under the Mac Tech Team banner, with clients in London and around his home in Oxfordshire.

Robert is married with 2 children, and still takes the odd photo now and then.

James Turner has over 10 years experience working with Apple systems and MacOS technologies, much of it gained with some of the UK's largest Mac resellers. During this time he amassed great amounts of in-depth Mac knowledge and honed his technical skills, with the fruits of these labours resulting in his starting MacFactory, his own consultancy business, in 2003.

His industry experience has been bolstered and rounded with positions in IT security and Windows 'Active Directory' management & administration; James possesses a rare blend of deep technical knowledge tempered with the ability to present and talk to people at a very human level.

Currently James is working with Mac Consultants, providing tea, biscuits and technical consulting to clients in London and the home counties.
